July 26th was an emotional day with the inauguration of CASA ITALIA, attended by President Sergio Mattarella. The reception was impressive, with chefs, gardeners, and technicians moving through kitchens, lounges, and gardens as if on the set of a period film. Everything superfluous disappeared, allowing what is beautiful to stand out. From the transparency of the crystals to the leaves of the vines, everything was inspected with a magnifying glass to bring Pré Catelan as close to perfection as possible. The President arrived, welcomed at the entrance by CONI President Giovanni Malagò amidst a flurry of journalists and cameras.
Giornata emozionante quella del 26 luglio con l’inaugurazione di CASA ITALIA alla presenza del Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella. Impressionante la macchina del ricevimento: cuochi, giardinieri, tecnici che si muovono tra cucine, salotti e giardini come sul set di un film in costume.
Ciò che è di troppo sparisce, ciò che è bello risalta. Dalle trasparenze dei cristalli alle foglie delle viti tutto viene ispezionato con lente d’ingrandimento perché il Pré Catelan si avvicini quanto più possibile alla perfezione. Il Presidente arriva, ricevuto all’ingresso dal Presidente del CONI Giovanni Malagò in una nuvola di giornalisti e telecamere.
Despite the rainy, almost autumnal weather, it was a memorable day in a heavily secured Paris for the opening of the Olympic Games. Artists, spectators, and athletes were battered by rain that only stopped hours after the show had ended. From the terrace of CASA ITALIA, we saw Thomas Dechandon’s lights radiate from the iron of the Eiffel Tower and the hot air balloon with the Olympic flame rising from the Tuileries Garden.
Giornata da ricordare, anche se piovosa e quasi autunnale, in una Parigi blindata per l’apertura dei Giochi Olimpici e con artisti, spettatori e atleti sferzati dalla pioggia che ha smesso a spettacolo già finito da qualche ora. Dalla terrazza di CASA ITALIA abbiamo visto le luci di Thomas Dechandon sprigionarsi dal ferro della Tour Eiffel e la mongolfiera con la fiamma olimpica che si alza dal giardino delle Tuileries.
For Natura and Architettura, the true emotion had already arrived. Breakfast had not yet started, and Sergio Mattarella, already seated at the table between Federica Pellegrini and Elisa Di Francisca, asked to meet Roberto Maria Ortolani to thank him for the refinement and authenticity of the landscape project. This project contributed to the success of CASA ITALIA thanks to the originality of the design, the strong evocative power of the chosen vegetation, and the meticulous execution. After explaining the conceptual foundations of the project, the CEO of NeA received applause from the guests and congratulations from the President—a true recognition of careful work, the result of years of experience and creativity.
Ma per Natura e Architettura l’emozione vera era già arrivata. La colazione non è ancora iniziata e Sergio Mattarella, già seduto a tavola fra Federica Pellegrini ed Elisa Di Francisca, chiede di conoscere Roberto Maria Ortolani per ringraziarlo della raffinatezza e autenticità del progetto paesaggistico, che ha contribuito al successo di CASA ITALIA grazie all’originalità del design, al forte potere evocativo degli elementi vegetali scelti, all’accuratezza della realizzazione. Dopo aver raccontato le basi concettuali su cui si fonda l’idea progettuale, il CEO di NeA riceve gli applausi degli ospiti e le congratulazioni del Presidente, vero riconoscimento di un lavoro accurato, frutto di anni di esperienza ed esercizio di creatività.
